DR. MON MON TAR

Dr.Mon Mon Tar was born in Yangon in 1956 and educated at St. John Convent School in her childhood. She received Ph.D. (International Law),LL.M, LL.B, B.A (Law) from Yangon University. She served as lecturer, law department, Yangon University, associate professor (head of department), professor/head of department, law department,Pathein University. While she was at law department of Pathein University, she was able to open the LL.M course. Starting form 2005, she served as professor/head of department, law department of Dagon University until December 2016. At law department of Dagon University, she openedMRes course in 2016. She drafted teaching aid guidelines and broadcasted lectures from radio and television for distance education. She wrote over 50 articles and poems. She opened Certificate in Business Law Course and Certificate in Court PracticeCourse in Pathein and Dagon University. She introducedMoot Court Program at Dagon University. Insurance Law Text Book written together with her husband Dr.Mg MgThein was enacted as text book for 3rd year law students. She studied International Law at Hague Academy of International Law in Netherland. Currently, she is serving as team leader of legal affairs and advisory team of Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation.
