U AUNG KHAING

U Aung Khaing was born on 2nd October 1949 in Mandalay. He attended Government Technological Institute (Innsein) from 1965 to 1968 and received A.G.T.I (Elect: Power) diploma. Then, he studied at Yangon Institute of Technological from 1968 to 1972 and received B.E (Elect: Power). Starting from December 1973, he joined Myanmar Electric Power Enterprise as an assistant engineer.From 1981 to 1982, he studied at Norwegian Institute of Technology and received Diploma in Electric Power Distribution System (EPDS) in Norway. Then he was promoted rank by rank and he served as chief engineer for Yangon City Electricity Supply Board from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, he retired and worked as chief engineer in Asia General Electric Co., Ltd. Because of the requirement of the state, Ministry of Electricity and Energy gave him the responsibility to serve as the chairman of YESB In 2011. In August 2015, he retired from it and currently working as president in Pacific Electric Co., Ltd.
